About

I’m Sunny-Kim Barden, an East Asian doctor of Korean descent. As a licensed acupuncturist, some of the tools I use to treat people are acupuncture, acupressure, herbal medicine, therapeutic exercises, homeopathy, biofeedback or applied kinesiology to recommend resources your body needs to heal quickly. Your body is more intelligent than any doctor. My passion is observing and listening to the mysterious ways the body heals and let's us know what is needed to recover. As a doctor, "docere" one who guides or teaches, it's my job to show you what you as the patient can change to feel better and the missing resources your body needs to quicken the healing process.

As an East Asian doctor, I use my senses- observe, feel, listen to people who seek help, usually after conventional medical approaches have disappointed them. During our first meeting, many of my patients say they’re broken or they’re complicated enigmatic puzzles that no one is able to make sense of and put together. After hours, I contemplate and reflect on the “puzzle pieces” or “broken pieces” like Kintsugi pottery, the art of repairing broken pottery, patiently assisting one patient at a time to give them a new perspective on illness and healing through Eastern Medicine.

Patient Testimonials

Sunny is simply brilliant! Not only is she incredible at what she does, she is a fantastic person who makes it her mission to help you from the moment she meets you! Sunny is near our summer home in Navarre beach and as I go down there several times a year, I go and see her at least twice a week when I’m in town. Never in the medical field have I come across such a focused, knowledgeable, patient and personable
Individual. She treats her patients through the most up to date medicine, but she also uses nutrition and holistic approaches to treat her patients! Everyone that travels with me to Florida ends up getting the true ‘Sunny experience!’ My only wish is that she was closer to my home in Georgia!

Sunny is a great gift to the health profession! I was very resistant to acupuncture, due to an overwhelming fear of needles, but really wanted to receive the benefits that I’d heard so much about. Getting acupuncture from Sunny was absolutely wonderful! She has such a gentle touch, and is so precise in the optimal locations of each needle, that her treatments are very effective. She has helped me with various aches and pains, as well as emotional issues during times of crisis. I also had a few treatments of “ear acupuncture”, which were pretty incredible, and I’m really looking forward to the next one. Anyone who gets to experience her treatments is extremely fortunate!

All I can say is Mrs Sunny-Kim Barden is very knowledgeable and informs you of the procedure from the moment you meet.
She is kind and takes time to explain the entire process.
If you are in doubt of having acupuncture done please go see her and I promise you you will not regret it.
Thank you Sunny for the procedure and the knowledge of acupuncture I feel as a new person and improving day by day with all I have learned from the treatments
Thanks
